Anniversary - Sometimes they are called 400 day clocks. These clocks designed to run for a year on one winding so need to be wound on an "anniversary" of some sort. They are readily identified by the rotating (rather than swinging) pendulum and their enclosure in a transparent dome to prevent dust and breezes from bothering them. Many were made from about 1950 to 1970 but they have been made in the 19th century to the present. They do not have striking or chiming capability. They tell time only.
